i was thinking with the guys with revo and an SPS.  is there any need to go stage 2+. could you not just up the boost and fueling??

You could but the Stage 2+ map is optimised for the pump, IIRC Stage 2 is not.

I am planning to run the pump with stage 1 and do as Sy suggested - richen up the fueling and up the boost.

Obviously it would be best to run an optimised 2+ map but I think there are still good gains to be had even at stage 1.

Agreed, I did run my pump on Stage 2 and optimised fuelling and timing, did not increase boost. However the Stage 2+ did take it to a whole new level.

iirc the stage 2 revo map only calls for 110 bar fuel rail pressure whilst stage 2+ ups that to 130 bar.

This means that injection timing for the same fuel load is shorter with the 2+ map with a little extra in hand for even richer fuel setting vs stage 2.

Maybe its different on the the K03 but on the K04 up to 130 bar is requested even at stage 1 which causes the pump to struggle:

Yup, I was speaking of the k03...

From that plot, it would seem to me that revo should say that even their stage 1 would benefit from an uprated hpfp.

I seem to remember reading something from one of the Revo boys that said as much.

Not on Superchips as they only request 110bar rail pressure unless it is a pump specific software.

Cheers mate  :happy2:
I might enquire with Superchips as to whether they can do a HPFP map for stage 1 then?
