Part number request - headlight clip
« on: January 02, 2016, 02:22:35 pm »
Some of you might remember a couple of months ago I posted a thread about one of my Xenon headlights being damaged. Whilst I've had some time off work over Christmas I've been able to investigate a little further and I've found out what the problem is. One of the white plastic clips inside the headlight has broken meaning that the projector doesn't clip into place properly. It will hold it for a while but over time and with any harsh braking it just pops out and points skyward.

So, I'm wondering if anyone has the part number or even know where I can get hold of a replacement white clip (pics are attached) as I'd rather not have buy a whole new headlight for the sake of a tiny clip.

Cheers!

From looking at the pic doylebros posted you prob can't buy the clip. Best to get to a scrappy ad find a golf with a broken light and take it from there

Cheers guys.

Yeah it's not on that list I'm afraid and there's no visible part number on the clip so it looks like I might be waiting a while to find one at a breakers.

Hey, per chance do you remember how you resolved this?

I have the same issue with my xenon headlight, the top left tab has broken one of its legs.

Currently superglueing it but I doubt it will hold with potholes and hard braking, like you say!

Cheers
