New brake hose (Take two should make sense I hope...)
« on: March 30, 2020, 11:34:21 pm »
So, I'm sourcing bits to do the 7r/s3 brake upgrade.
Calipers on their way from Germany, wondered about getting new hoses as well.
Read that upgrading the hoses isn't really necessary for road use so will go with standard hoses that will fit the 7r brakes too.
Anyone got an idea how much they cost? Local stealers is closed.
Have also seen these so might go these if they're ok?

Hoping to get Mtec brakes when they reopen but TWR discs are on here too.

Thoughts? Ant better options?

Cheers  :happy2:

dont VW use TRW brake calipers etc as standard (in the mk5 platform anyway) ? so i wouldnt have any worries about going for those items. makes sense to replace the lines while you're there though. at least then you'll have a complete new set up. for the sake of a tenner each for the hoses.

i like painted discs too! i'd prefer silver paint though as it would look better through my wheels (personal pref)

Yeah thought they would be a safe bet cheers.

I'll wait on Mtec for a while to see if they start production soon.
