Number plates cloned...
« on: November 30, 2019, 07:47:39 pm »
Had 3 bus lane fines this month and 1 parking fine. I paid the first bus lane fine thinking I don’t remember being there at that time but I must have and then came 2 more today along with a parking fine and I no 100% these weren’t me and also the picture of the reg on the fines doesn’t have the GB marking on the left that mine has and neither does it have the garage name at the bottom of the plate that mine does.

Anyone had this happen to them and what’s the best way to deal with it? Spoke to the police who were pretty much useless. The fines are from an area that’s only about 10 miles from me.

Mad.. some people ey!
You should be able to phone a number on the fines and appeal.
Hope you get it sorted out.

You need to report it to the police immediately.

reasonably common issue I think.

once had a couple of bozo's rock up trying to part ex a mk1 cabby for mu corrado at the time and they had stuck plated on over the real originals with elastic bands?

report it asap.

my plates got stolen, as my wife was giving birth!!!

they went straight to the local bp and stole some petrol.

i ended being questioned at every bp after, but as i had reported it, had a letter from police, which i had to show everytime i went

OMG, this is scary. My sister randomly had her plates swapped from front to back.  Assume just a joke but never found out why etc.
