Hello there, fellow Mk5 GTI-ers

Hi all,

It was great to learn of the website and forum in January 2009's issue of Volkswagen Driver and as a recent convert to mk5 life I thought it was only polite to say hello.

I have a last of the line (Sept 2008), shadow blue, 5 door with a few toys and it has got me back into GTI life after 2 months without one - I sold my Mk4 1.8T in July last year after 10 years/100k miles.

I'll upload some photos when I have sussed out how to do that swirly thing with my number plate!

welcome, shadow's a lovely understated colour that looks great clean in the sunshine, my first mk5 was shadow and my dad has just ordered a TDi dsg in shadow, we need pics :happy2:

as for the swirly go to edit in your photobucket, along the top you will see options, chose distort and away you go, if your using photobucket of course :happy2:

Gents, many thanks indeed for the warm welcome - here's a piccie that was taken when the car was clean and the sun was out (obviously not today).
