Anyone know how or if you can change the colour scheme of the RNS display:

I currently have the grey / black scheme

and want to try the red / black scheme:

You have to use VCDS but it is possible. There's three themes - highline, sportsline and premium.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Can only be done via vcds.  but if you have access to vcds then its in controller 37 navigation byte7 bit 4-5 the selection is either premium, highline or sportline the highline is what you have on now the premium is the reverse to that and the one you want is sportline the red/black.

Cheers

Darren

Is this possible to change on the RCD510 too?

I would love to change the colour of the phone screen on mine as it's green and matches nothing  :stupid:
I'm guessing this is not possible though  :sad1:

i dont know if you can with the RCD.

But on the RNS, the phone is green. each different page has its own theme.

Radio - Red
Media - Red
Phone - Green
Nav + Map + traffic - Blue
Settings - orange

Yeah, I realise that.... I just don't like it

I've just bought all my white LED's to change the colour of my dials from blue to white. I'll then change the fan speed indicataor (again!) from blue to white too. This with the already red climate screens will give me a dash setup where everything matches and looks good together. The only thing letting it down will be the green phone screen which stays on my car a lot of the time as I use the phone a lot in the car.

Someone please crack the coding on these units, then reprogram it just for me :congrats:

Taken from another forum:

Sportsline:

Highline:

Premium:

Personally, I prefer Premium. Sportsline looks good too. Highline just looks crap  .

The premium looks good as well, guess I'll have try that as well for a week or so to see which I prefer. Now to find someone with VCDS.

Highline, I think. It's the one yours is set to in the first post.
