As i have had the TT mk2 arms fitted the following settings are on mine:

Old rear hubs are back on, and the car has had it's first wheel alignment. Forgot the pc at home and couldn't remember Laurent D's numbers, so on the top of my head we set it for:

Front:
                   L              R
Caster:     8,38'        8,34'
Camber:  -2,15'        -2,19'
Toe:          0,06'        0,06'

Rear:
                   L              R
Camber    -2,14'        -2,16'
Toe            0,07'         0,07'

The front Camber is to high for the miserable danish roads so i plan on lowering it to 1,3 - 2,0', the steering is very lively, a bit to much for my taste

How can you get -2°2' of front camber and 8°36' of caster withe TT arms???!!!

Normaly you should only get about -1°30' and 7°30'!!!

standard camber is 10.  add the TT arms and you can run 1.50 negative camber.

that is on a stndard car with no lowering springs.  once you lower the car you gain even more negative camber so i say that his camber is easily achievable with the TT arms.

also ref castor, iirc he is also running the anti lift kit which increases the castor.  its entirely possible that the TT arms themselves could have more castor built into them that stock to make the TT more involving

Ok, but my car was more like -30' as standard and -1° lowered.

And VWR found out that Morego wishbones gives more camber than TT arms, that is why I'm asking the question...

As Vrsy writes i have Walk, and a pretty lowered car which helps on both camber and caster. no doubt you can get a higher camber with the Morego kit,
combined with how much you lower your car. post a picture of your stance and i'll post one of the stance of mine  :happy2:

I'm very surprised that you can get so much camber with TT arms as, if I'm right, at the maximum lenght, they are only 5mm longer than OEM arms, and Morego are 10mm longer.

Maybe Walk kit push more outward the arms compare to SuperPro bushings.

I'll take some pics ant post it.

yes they are.  essentially they are a normal lower control arm with a welded extension on them to give them the additional camber.

very rudimentary design,  but works none the less.  it is however not adjustable once fitted.

I personaly thing the TT lower control arms would be a better option.  they are lighter, fully adjustable, Oem and considerably lighter(unsprung weight as well which is even better).  The TT lower control arms would be cheaper as well i think :happy2:

the power grip lower arms run a higher camber than the TT arms and if you find your tyre wear is not acceptable, you are stuck with it or will have to swap back to stock.

Hi fuscobal;

vRSyhas answered your question.

I would only say that for me TT arms don't give enough camber excepted if you add adustable top mount. Then it's the best solution.

I don't have any tyre wear issue with Morego arms and 2°1' of negative camber, I could even go further up to 2°30' for an even tyre wear.

But to be honnest, I am looking for a solution to use TT arms and S3 hubs with Ohlins Coilover and a custom adustable top mount. It woulb be perfect  :jumping:

otherwise, increase front and  of negative camber to about 2° is the best modification on our car. :happy2:

There may have been some miss-information kicking around about the TT arms for some time now.

All the feedback i have read on the forums from people who have had them fitted and reported back on them have achieved over 2 Deg negative camber.

They have a shade over 6mm adjustment on them
If the morego arms are 10mm longer and give 1.3 Deg more camber, then the TT arms will give 0.8 Deg adjustment on the same car.

I have a set of s3 arms in the garage and they are longer than Mk5 GTI arms and give more negative camber(not adjustable)
BMX had some of these fitted and gained nearly 1 Deg from the S3 arms alone.
Also have a set of TT bottom arms and when set to their shortest length they are the same length as the s3 arms to within 1mm or so. Measured from balljoint to bolthole.

I believe the TT arms will deffinately give more than 0.5 Deg more negative camber  :happy2:

Interesting :happy2:

But unfortunatly, almost every body claim differents camber angle.
So we need fact.

I mean aligment data otherwise it is an endless discution. :popcornsoda:

1. 9.24 on my 17'th ever lap (I have it on film). The car had less mods than it has now. So, hopefully I will get a better time next time.

2. video is not allowed but I wonder how TopGear filmed their trip to Nurburring. They had footage from the car! In 2009 there was a big sign that video and taking pictures was not allowed, but in 2010 that sign was removed. There is still a reference of this in the instruction videos shown at the entrance.
It seems that we will be allowed to film our laps during the public session from 2011: "Moreover, every customer will get a 10 % discount off the price of hiring the new onboard camera which, from 2011 on, will allow every fan to capture and take home a bit of Nordschleife feeling." (http://www.nuerburgring.de/en/angebote/driving-experiences/tourist-rides-nordschleife.html)

3. I don't worry about the time. But I use the time as an indicator of how I am progressing. I think that anybody who is only interested in the time will not get to far.

Not my fastest lap by a long margin, but the clearest video of the 'ring.

This lap worked out at 8:21 Bridge to Gantry and 8:47 for the full 'ring circuit.

My fastest is in the very low 8's somewhere.

This lap was done with the spark plugs failing (found out later at Statllers) and a 14 stone bloke in the passenger seat.

Enjoy.
