standard boost
« on: April 22, 2020, 08:50:35 pm »
hi all. so not had my golf long so far loving it! bought it completely standard, full service history, no history of pcv, cam follower or dv done so ive replaced them all myself for piece of mind, dv was on a revision c and it had nothing wrong with it at all which surprised me! cam follower wasnt that bad either but needed changing so glad thats done, ive also put ram air intake on it and had the center box deleted. ive just had the dv replaced because i thought/think i had a boost problem as when im on boost it only goes up to 10 psi maximum then drops off to between 4-6 psi, like it fluctuates between. is this normal or is should the boost reading be higher, its being read from torque app on my phone, on idle the vacuum presure is around 24, since having the dv done thinking that it would be split and finding it wasnt doe anybody have any idea if this is correct or should be higher?
any help would be greatly appreciated
