Toyosports intercooler for Mk5 GTI
« on: May 05, 2020, 10:18:51 pm »
So I saw this front mount intercooler online called Toyosports. I just wanted to know if anyone has had any experience with it, if so would you recommend, did you encounter any issues using it.

I’m using a toyosports intercooler on my ed30 running 446bhp on a hybrid turbo obviously it involves some cutting to the crash bar & slam panel. I’ve got custom made 2.5inch alloy boost pipes tig welded, also we did away with the bayonet fitting on the hard pipe coming down from the turbo at bottom aux pulley. Can’t say I’ve had any issues as yet. Hope this helps 😀

I suspect the OP is talking about a chinese THS type clone, it should just bolt in as long as it is a Mk5/6 type.
There are Wagner tuning clones out there as well, these have better flowing end tanks with internal splitter + CNC connections.
Toyosport is name has been kicking around for a while, I don't believe they are a specific manufacturer.
