Heyyy, not so much a new guy, more of a reader than a typer, but recently picked up a nice edition 30 and thought it made sense to say hello cos no doubt I'll be needing to pick at the vast amount of knowledge and experience on all things gti on this site, I'm Mark, long time BMW VAG guy, just went from a 8p s3 to the edition 30, I found the s3 boring by its ability to do everything well, the ed30 is much more involving to drive, and the modified parts I took off the s3 will bolt straight onto the golf so that was the main reason for choosing the edition 30, had a look at the mk2 cupra but the golf is a nicer place to be, it's only my fun car for daily work use, we got a 330d for family duties, and the wife got a tdv6 range rover for the kids and trust me it's just safer for everyone if she is in something tank like that can't go fast enough to do any real damage to anyone!
