Much better than the smaller solid discs ....also looks so much better visually as the standard golf gti solid disks seem to get lost behind the 18 wheels.

Update time ...This time is the shape of a new exhaust i went with a Milltek sport R32 non- resonated cat-back having had a few of these in the past it’s perfect ..Great sound and awesome build quality I got this through AKS Motorsport so big shout out to them for sorting that for me ..I guess I need a new down pipe now.

That solves the mystery of the old system being on sale!
Good fit with the bumper - how loud is it with it being non-res?

Hi, yeah the old system was just a stop gap having said that is was a really good fit considering the price .as for the Milltek I’ve had a few non - res systems now and really like the build quality and fitment as for the sound not to loud to gives a nice deep tone nothing over powering if you know what I mean .

Small update... first thing was the bonnet latch decided it was not going to play anymore and point blank refused to close so decided to replace it and contacted VW to order a new one which was £78+VAT in the mean time i removed the old one which was in a right state and no wonder it stopped working. Anyway Decide to give it a thorough cleaning with wd40 it came up well and also fixed it which was a bonus.

The last thing is the car has been Remapped by my local Vag Specialist i always use this is a custom Remap and not a Generic  remap. But Unfortunately this has not had the all singing and dancing Rolling road treatment so i have no rolling road print off or graph for remap values but what i can say is like any remap the difference is like night and day so EST BHP is now 245-255 and feels more top end of the scale. very happy and more to build on.

Small update ....but i can't be happier managed to get hold of a set of my all time favourite wheels i don't think these need an introduction has they have been done so many times and even had a set on my old gti.... BBS LM Reps .

front 18x8.0  ET42
Rear 18x9.0  ET42

so test fitted the wheels today ..and as i thought i need to run a 8mm wheel spacer as it has very little clearance with the R32 front brake calipers so ive ordered  some H@R hubcentric 8mm wheel spacers for it i did try a 10mm spacer but thats over kill so 8mm spacer will be perfect .

Nice update - reps or real LM's always seems to be timeless - what are you doing for tyre sizes?

Hi, sorry for the late reply..unfortunately these are rep’s I wish I could push myself to buy some genuine ones at almost £1800

Anyway just brought some Pirelli p zeros

18x8.0 front  running 215/40/R18
18x9.0 Rear  running 225/40/R18

I may have run into a problem with my offset wheels as these are et42 they are perfect on the back and no spacers required which is great. The problem comes at the front I’m having to run a 8mm hub -centric wheel spacer to clear the R32 brake calipers and along with the Audi TT lower arms it’s pushed the wheel out further than I like . I think I’m right in saying if I put the standard brake calipers back on I should clear the brake calipers with these wheels with no spacers.

Small update,
I had to remove the R32 front calipers I was running due to the wheels not clearing them without a spacer due to the offset of the wheels which I explained in the previous post . Anyway I’ve replaced the standard 312mm discs and added some more drilled M-TEC discs and new pads along with another set of HEL braided lines for good measure the calipers them selfs are in great shape but they do need to be repainted so will be painting theses soon going to get rid of the red and paint them graphite grey or black one or the other. The good news the wheels are now on,,,

Small update got the car back on Friday 1st Oct from the body shop decided to have the car resprayed … having replaced the front wing earlier on in the year. The wing I brought came painted but unfortunately the colour was wrong and was miss matched so decided to bite the bullet get the car resprayed has there were a few areas on the car that needed attention. Thought I’d do it all in one hit. It now looks lovely with the car all one colour.

New Matt silver grille added ….it’s a nice addition to the fresh paintwork I also had a play around with the grille badge I really like the R32 logo badge and wanted to keep a grille badge on the car so I now have a R22  badge in situ I still might get so hate for it but bothered.
