Another small update ....received the rear heat shield from creations Motorsport which was spot on perfect fitment and also ties in nicely with the intake and also cleans the rear of the engine bay  ..also decided to get a hpfp guard to protect that delicate sensor but even better than that it looks great in the engine bay.

Intake looks great!
I had been considering another typhoon intake kit for my new car, but these look great! Very OEM as you say.

Where did you get it?

Car is looking great, well done

Another small update.....This time in the shape of a new drivers side wing unfortunately the original drivers side wing was in poor condition the passenger side wing was replaced by the previous owner just before a brought it so nice and new . Brought the new wing from Lothianautoparts I have never used them before but they had a lot of great feedback and for £95 new painted and delivered I thought I’d take the risk. Anyway wing arrived In very good Packaging I was impressed as for the quality can’t tell between this or the original to be fair only thing to complain about is the colour match not quite the right match so will be painting the the whole drivers side just like I did to the passenger side early on in the year looks like by the time  I’m finished with this thing I will a Have a full respray

Wing looks great - white is meant to be the very worst for matching
Didn't spot the AP's going on - how are you finding them?

Another update ...This time in the shape of a new exhaust as the original one was in a right state and had a hole in the centre box so at this point i thought it was a good idea to do the R32 rear end conversion i had planned from the start of buying this car i just think the R32 rear looks so much better.

So as for the Exhaust thought about this for a while having had a couple of Milltek systems in the past all good exhausts but in my eyes they don't deserve the £650 price tag for the R32 look system for the mk5 so to that end i have brought a budget Ulter sport back-box and a standard centre pipe for the grand total of £260 and as a bonus the Ulter sport back-box comes with a 3 year guarantee and build quality and fitment is excellent.

The original rusty exhaust

Finally Found some time to remove the side skirts And in the process removed the 12 years of muck and dirt behind them to be fair that’s the easy bit getting rid of the sticky tape residue is So time consuming Anyway got their in the end. The sills are looking nice now I’ve already dropped the side skirts off at the body shop to be flattened and smoothed and colour coded..

Looking good - putting me to shame. I need to start putting some TLC into my GTI but my S6 is taking up my time and money at the moment.

Hi , I’ve just paid £170 for the side skirts to be flattened down smooth, sanded, and colour Coded I guess with the work involved it’s a fair price.

So this happened the other day i picked up the side skirts from the body shop they did a awesome job As always to get them super smooth. Apparently they said it wasn’t a hard job to get them smooth At all Which I guess is a bonus for me I got them back faster As it looked weird driving about without them. The nice thing is refitting them is a simple 10 min job either side . It now looks so much better with colour coded side skirts.

Colour coded side skirts back from the bodyshop
