Back in the fold

Hi all,

So here I am, back to the golf. This is probably my 10th water pumper VAG car, mostly mk2/3s, a 16vt corrado, b3 passat, mk2 jetta and 2.7 biturbo A6 wagon along the way (jeep patriot with BKD engine and a couple of skoda sort of count too!).

I've just handed back my 1.5tsi Karoq and picked up a mk5 gt tdi for peanuts as a runabout while I decide what's next - or tbh whether to bother with a new car at all in the current climate! - it's the dark blue, pre-dpf, pulls like a train but needs a bit of cosmetic work so thought I'd join up to use the wealth of knowledge here.

Jobs to do:
- Secure grille - it's a GTI front end but the grill isn't secured at the bottom at all, just sort of flapping about
- Both front windows dropped.
- no seal between bonnet and headlights, struggling to find one.
- Throttle body replacement - got part, will fit at the weekend.
- Find a way to make the 30pin ipod dock useful.

Done:
- New battery
- Cleaned the mouldy interior
- Wishbones and MOT

Any advice or pointers greatly appreciated.

Cole
