hi all, my04 2.0 ltr fsi mk5 has developed an odd problem with its wipers,with ignition on no wipers work apart from rear wipe and wash,engine running still rear only as soon as the car is moving wipers work fine when i come to a stop wipers will work for few seconds the stop randomly on screen never same place, does anyone know location of any relays for wipers or have any clue what issue could be. thanks keep safe. lee

I think there's a microswitch in the bonnet latch that could be going bad.  Your problem is exactly what's supposed to happen when the bonnet is unlatched to stop accidental interfacing of wiper arms into paintwork! Maybe the switch is on it's way out, or the wiring to it?

wow how right you could be, just the other day my bonnet open light/bleep started appearing when i looked at latch i could see a micro switch dangling,recently had new bonnet catch fitted i didnt link the two tbh im gonna fix switch myself in morning i will let you know if wipers are fixed. thanks a lot pudding :innocent:
