Milltek vs Pipewerx

I've been set on getting a Milltek downpipe for some time now but only last night discovered Pipe werx's downpipe.

There's about a £300 price difference and now i'm edging towards the Pipe werx.

Anyone had both or had problems with a Pipe werx downpipe?

If seems almost too good to be true...

I’m running the pipewerx sports cat 3’ downpipe on my 2+ edition 30 with no issues, had it on almost a year now. Good quality downpipe for the money in my opinion.

Not the same. But I had a pipewerx on a Clio 182. The quality and fitment was spot on.

Isn’t the cat on the milltek meant to suck. Not sure what cats used on the pipewerx but would be interested in finding out.

We do both 100 cell and 200 cell cat at the same price.
The choice is based on your tuning aspirations.
Both are fully road legal as they are huge 125mm monoliths.

If that Pipeworx cat gets through the MOT I'll be surprised.  Even the Milltek one looks too small.

Mine passed MOT no problem at all back in March. Bought brand new & had been Fitted just over 7 months prior.

Top tip
Always ask what cat washcoat weight is 
A 5-gram washcoat will get through an MOT, but due to it being an entropic surface coating it degrades with use - so you have to wonder how many times.
The main cost element is in the precious metal coating, the greater the load the higher the cost.
If you can't get an answer or they don't know walk away.
FYI the OEM cat will typically have a 60gram coating.

So did my APR DP with the sports cat, only just, the first year.  Second year, flat out fail.

Exactly, it may get through 1 or 2 MOTs at a strict test station with not many miles covered between each one.....but who knows after that!
Been there too many times in the past with rubbish 'sports' cats, so I'm pleased to see this is an area you take seriously
