New Member - Massive VW Fan
« on: June 23, 2020, 11:10:48 pm »
Hello all, my name is Julian and after months of stalking this forum Ithought I'd make an account. I own a Golf GTI MK5 which I purchased in October. I was told upon purchase that it was remapped to 240bhp, the only proof I have of that is it definitely feels quicker than my mates later MK5 GTI. Upon purchase I haven't really done much so far due to funds, but now I'm starting to do things to it such as a recent Milltek cat back exhaust and soon to put some actual good tires on it. My main reason for buying this car is because I've always been a fan of VWs as my parents have owned several including two MK5 GTIs and I'm a massive car guy in general.

 Does look a clean example.
Keep an eye on the usual mk5 gremlins and it'll serve you well

Thank you everyone! It comes up clean in photos but has a few minor age related marks and tiny bit of rust on the bootlid which I will get sorted soon. Also has some lacquer peel on the arches which will need to be sorted as well, oh and the G fell off so its now only a TI .  So far only had one issue which was the exhaust which is why I upgraded to a Milltek system.
