Rear insde wheel wear

Hi everybody, quick hello cause i've just joined  

I've got excessive wear on the rear Continental Sport 2 inside rears and the local main dealer
say that its normal. I've had a fair few cars in my time, but never one that has stacks of tread
on the outside and slicks on the inside.

I've read that a camber adjustment is possible, but also that resetting makes it "not a GTi"

So the question is to I make a fuss and get it done or just accept that i'll be rotating tyres?

And a second cheeky quick one. If this is a regular thing, then can anyone reccomend a good
branded (but cheaper) alternative to the Continentals.

As the dealer has said, they are set like that at the factory . They will wear on the inner tread, just depends on what hardness of compound tyre you fit as to how long it'll last.

Change the camber and you'll change the cars charactistics.

Ultimately its up to you, some have altered their cars but id leave it , but thats me personally  


Vreddestein ultrac's seem to give great value per pound then the more expensive Ps2's and Ps3's.

Goodyear asymetrics are a good choice but are a little more expensive.

You say excessively, how much is the difference ?, IMO its not that normal (im no expert),  mine has worn evenly over the last 2 years

It's about 6mm on the outside edge and slicks past the tread indicators on the inside.
This isnt just a bit, but a major difference between one side and the other

i would defo look at presures if you have 6 mm on the outside

my car (gt tdi)was also did this to the first set of bridgestones that were on the car in 2 years 16000 miles-i took the car in and they adjusted it slightly
