Golf gti mk5 wing mirrors

Hi all,
Not had my golf gti mk5 for long so please excuse me if this is a stupid question but its driving me mad!
How do i fold both ny wing mirrors in to stop them being bashed when im parked up?
Cant do them via remote and read in manual you can fold them in via wing mirror adjustment knob but they just wont fold in no matter what way i turn knob. Please can someone give me an idiots guide how to do it please.

no i only have the heated mirrors symbol. Does that mean theres no way to fold them in at all? I had a  bmw coupe previously and you could turn them in by holding the wing mirror and push it inwards.

yeah just tried tentatively and they turn in. Many thanks for your help mate and  i will now wear the forum dunces hat for being so thick!
