Oil pickup pipe, O ring mystery.
« on: July 02, 2020, 04:50:35 pm »
Just been spending again.
Cam belt, pre cat delete and clean the mesh on the oil pick up pipe on a 94.000 miles but no service history.
All good and not a lot of junk in the strainer except for a small O ring, well at least 2/3 of one. Luckily the other bit was in the sump.
Any one got any idea where it may have come from?

There is a small o ring that fits between the oil pick up pipe where it fits into the oil pump.

About the size of a penny, mine have always been orange or green.

It was about 6mm. The green one was there.
