Detailing a black Mk5 GT TDI
« on: July 08, 2020, 10:38:22 am »
So I have a Golf MK5 GT TDI in black as my daily. Promised myself I’d never have another black car, as my first car was black and whilst they look lovely when first clean, 2 minutes after it’s dirty and covered in dust. But never mind here we are with another black car.

The golf is covered in swirls, just wondered what products (machine polish, pads and waxes) people have used on their black golfs with good results.

Thanks.

Not sure what pads were used on my old gttdi but the best thing was getting it detailed and ceramic coated

Honestly, I also hate the black cars. My first car was a black passat, and I got soooo annoyed by the black color. It was getting dirty really quick and the fact that I am living in a really... warm place, it only makes it worse. Right now I have a white golf mark 5 tdi, and a mark 7 gti. Both of them are white, and I really like it. Moreover, I like really much the fact that I am going to the car wash very rarely. Before I got them, I was kind of ... against the white color, however right now I love it!

It all depends on how deep the swirls go.

Meguiers do a range of compounds that vary in aggressivenes.
