HELP - SIZE OF OIL FILTER HOUSING SOCKET
« on: July 05, 2020, 11:36:39 am »
Chaps
Just doing my first “own” oil and filter change. Does anyone know the size of the socket required to remove the oil filter housing as I’ve only got a 1in size and it’s far too small
Cheers
Louie

Be careful not to over tighten it.  If you crack it, that'll be £70 for a new from VW!

25nm!  Or tighten it until it stops turning, then a little nudge and no more.
