Injector servicing - experiences???
« on: July 21, 2020, 08:20:10 am »
Hi all.
Have a niggly misfire issue which I'm hoping will go away with an injector service. Already changed plugs, coils, fuel line cleaner and tested for air leaks to no avail, so this seems the next logical step. Car has just gone past 130k so figure they could be a bit gammed up. I was just wondering what people's experiences were following injector servicing? Power increase? Return of low down torque? Throttle response?

Thanks for any feedback!  :drinking:

my mate has a niggly misfire @ 80k. hes changed pretty much everything there is to change and yet he still gets it. i'ts more of a faint misfire and VCDS picks it up on the counter more than you can actually feel it. if you're getting a bad misfire or its spluttering under load then maybe have them cleaned or just replace them. if its a faint one you can hardly feel. dont go wasting your time and money.

I'm thinking of getting mine tested. I know you can post yours to this company for them to test

£12.50 per injector isn't bad with £10 return postage. looking at £60 all in.

R-tech does it for £100 plus return postage i think.

If you go onto the link above, it has a typical post cleaning data sheet at the bottom, so they basically do the same clean/test as R-tech.. i have 4 injectors that need cleaning so if you go for this option, let me know what it's like.
