Blowers on, but very little air

I've been having an issue that sometimes the AC doesn't blow a lot of air thorough the vents.  The blower can be heard loud and clear on all speeds but very little air. Turning AC on or off makes no difference, niether does changing temp or direction.

This only happens sometimes, I've pinned it down to it happening when it's hot outside and I'm on the motorway.  Not sure if that's related.

Anyone had a similar issue?

Any fault codes in the hvac module? Worth checking for ambient temp sensor and blend door actuator codes.

Does it happen when youre on a longish journey? But ok on short journeys?

It's only on long journeys, but more often than not it's ok.  Never happens on my way to work which is 20mins.  Only happens on longer motorway journeys. 

I've scanned with a generic Bluetooth scanner which doesn't bring any codes apart from a driver's door lock module issue.

Could it be the fan resistor pack overheating on long journeys and slowing the fan down?  Can't think of anything else tbh if it's fine on short journeys.

I have a similar problem with my wipers funnily enough!  Fine on short journeys, but on long ones, they almost slow down to a complete halt

Yeah i have the same issue... i think its one of the flap servos that controls the air direction.

Don't think it's the fan resistors, as you can hear the fan on full speed when you turn it up.

That would make sense.  Bring back the manual mechanical mechanism of my old mk2!
