My Black 5 Door ED30
« on: August 03, 2020, 09:24:54 pm »
After a few months of ownership, I'm really beginning to love this car. She has a scorpion cat-back but apart from that and a couple of obvious minor cosmetics, she's bone stock.

My next steps are getting rid of the dents (one in the hood and one on the driver side passenger door that really bugs me), a bit of touchup paint here and there. Maybe a light map down the line and and intake but not planning on anything drastic - I'll be honest, 230bhp is plenty enough for a guy that came from a 125bhp 1.4 litre golf

Was hoping no one noticed!  On my list of things to do eventually, the only hole that I can use to keep it straight at the moment likes to eject the screw whenever I drive over a cattle grid or level crossing

I use pads... no drilling holes and making another entrance for moisture, or rusty screw marks in years to come and they stick like sh*t to a blanket. Make sure you get it right first time.

I cut one of these up... enough for at least 2 plates https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/122399682615

Search velcro to attach the plates. I use 300mm x 50mm Never let me down and easily reattached after cleaning etc :happy2:

I had velcro before I screwed this holder in and it looked awful. I need to source one of the number plate mounts that comes stock on these really because the last owner removed it and currently the plate is mounted direct to the bumper
