well would like to start with, my names maxx im 20 and just sold my 1.9cdti astravan sportive, lovely van awsome track tool, just crap as a workvan, so decided to sell it and bought a cheap bigger van for work, so life story over im looking at buying a golf gti, and want to know what to look for the most common falts, also the van wasnt slow even tho it was a derv, so im going to be looking at tuning, is the edition 30 turbo easy to find? new or used and is it a straight swap, also what eles would be needed to push 280 ish bhp? miltec remap etc? going to be new to vws as been into vauxhalls and so my family, so decided againt a vxr and to go for a dub, sorry if youve herd it all before  :ashamed:

heres some pics of my van

managed a 9.52 at the nurbergring, so car will be used as my track toy

Welcome to the forum.

Are you looking for a Golf GTI and converting to the Edition 30 turbo or a Golf Edition 30?

For the benefits of the engine and tuning potential I'd go for the Edition 30 if your budget allows. A straight remap with no other mods will see 280-290bhp.
Golf R gone.

Or else you can try to look in the post i just started in the performance section. There you will find the parts you need for the turbo-upgrade... Besides those i would upgrade the fuelpump, IC and exhaust... then you would have good numbers  :happy2:
