Go for an RCD330, mate. Much more modern with CarPlay/Android Auto and no need for any extra Bluetooth/AUX modules as it's all integrated.

This is the one I bought: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/113812890307 - supports both CarPlay and Android Auto and is the Noname version, which supports firmware updates.

If you have a multi-function steering wheel, buy this too: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RCD330-Multifunction-Steering-Wheel-Simulator-Adapter-Cable-Fit-For-VW-Golf-5-mo/174342467162

Like the RNS510, your canbus needs to be revision L or newer, otherwise you'll suffer from battery drain. The cable in the above link comes with a canbus simulator, which resolves the need to update your canbus (works perfectly on my 55 plate).

The only downside is you won't get audio or navigation menus on your cluster if it's a highline spec, but the steering wheel buttons work as they should with the cable.
