Just to bring things up to speed. I replaced the Pcv housing assembly today.
Sure enough this is what greated me when i forced open the housing to have alot at whether my old valve was perhaps blocked with carbon disposits etc .Car has done 43k miles, only on 99 octane fuels and would be a good indicator imo whether a catch could be justified in my case. After seeing this, i dont think theres much need.
The rubber seal has lost shape and the crankcase pressure was being blown between casing and rubber valve, was expecting to find a tear or split, but nothing at all, and not overly oily tbh.
Car is now smooth as, even on idle slidding into gears. My thoughts are this valve 1st went wrong at Jkm when the exhaust downpipe was fitted, because it wasnt smooth on idle when i was 1st handed the keys back after the work. So only now am i happy with all works done to the car, and hopefully find some extra boost i may have been missing.
