cant believe that guy managed 0-60 in that time, was he chasing a burger lol

Hurdy's best was 13.1, and he says Steve@ Statllers did a 12.99, vtec abuser did a 12 something I think, and Jonny was into the 11's as far as I heard, missed watching it though  :sad1:

so hurdy has gone backwards, i take it he had issues launching on the surface with all that extra power.  was jabbaluke there as well, be interested to see how his hybrid compared to stadtlers

TC is yours GTI or Ed30

not sure Sy but i know steve got a 12.89 with all interior in including spare wheel etc. pretty sur if he stripped it out like the jabba car he could drop down to 12.6's

true, we need a jabba Vs Stadtlers shoot out best of 3, with same setups, either stripped out or seats in

i thought the jabba car got into the 12's and was one of the quicker golfs to 60. It'll be my last GTi show for a while, i don't know why but i feel there isn't much to see or do and the concourse cars although clean and different are no where near the RSOC standards. I wish they would lay the event out differently too, there was very little difference between last year and this all the stands were in an almost identical place.

Had an absolute belter of a weekend lads and was great to see you all again.  :happy2: Was a proper giggle sat round the camp fire/BBQ last night and plenty of banter  :popcornsoda: :happy2:
Temps of 29oC and OEM cooler meant I was pegged back to a misely 13.3 (0-60 in 5.00  :fighting:). But give it a few miles to let the map adjust/settle in and a cooler day and I think it'll be doing 12's @ Pod (where it counts)  Bloody should do as it's  bonkers compared to the old S2  :jumping:.
Looking forward to seeing pics/vids etc

Oh and even Englands horrendous attempt at playing football earlier hasn't ruined my weekend..  :notworthy:

+1. Awesome day. Wish I could have done the whole weekend.

Went up the strip for the first time. On the first run, went up a red mk4 r32. I had wheel in the low gears but managed to catch up once in fourth. Amazing how quickly I hit triple figures. The r32 i think beat me by a cat's whisker.

went back around and lined up for the second run. Lined up against a blue cupra i think. In first gear, clutch ready, revs at 2000 rpm. Light turns green. Lift clutch, throttle to the max. Hit clutch, shift into second, lift clutch and hit gas. Revs to redline with no acceleration. Tried shifting into third but the clutch pedal's stuck to the floor. About half way down the sprint, the clutch returns and i can press on but it's too late to make any comeback.
 :sad1:

Whilst parked up, a nasty burning smell emanates from the car.

Yet the return journey home wasn't too bad and managed to shift quite well. Really miffed at that.

otherwise it was great to meet you guys. Looking forward to the next meet.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.
