Good to see you lot on Saturday, Mk5GolfGTI stand at its usual high standard  :happy2:

Would have slung the Beemer down the strip if I'd have brought the launching stick!

Hopefully should have the Ed30 back for a run at The Pod this Summer

Neil

gotta say those TTRS don't half launch well off the line....JC's / TT Shops lairy green one (using Michy PS2's it did a 3.8 0-60!)

Best was Paul Jordan's Rocket Centre 4WD Mk1 Rocco with BT power. 2.54 0-60 and 10.98 on the 1/4 mile.  :happy2:

Not to sure how accurate the times were to be honest as, to me they seemed inconsistent, this was my best time, but i am sure i went faster on my third run but only got a 14 dead.

Anyway not going to argue as this time represents  7/10th's of an improvement over last years time.  :chicken:  :pomppomp:

This was done the second PG had kindly fitted the ITG, There felt like a massive improvement in power once fitted. My butt dyno says at least 20 BHP.  :jumpmove:

Well chaps, here I am in Sicily on a glorious night, sipping bono and thinking of Saturdays show. Steve Jr managed a 4.45 to 60 and a 12.77 qtr on Sunday, showing that even with a full interior the car is very fast. I cannot deny that I am slightly disappointed with the NOS on its first outing, but the terminal speeds of 120+ mph shows it has the legs, if not the launch.....yet. maybe a100 shot is the order of the day at the pod.
Golf R gone.

Good to see a few of you about yesterday, I wasn't stripping mine, but I did have the keys to a few other cars and had a play.

Started in Wilko's MKIV - Never driven it before and soon proved I can't drive it for sh*t!! Nothing, nothing, nothing, AAAARRRHHHHHHHH.

Still, funny car though and I got a 5.2 & mid-13 (I'll ask him for the slip).

Then, I found the future of 1/4 mile sprinting!

Passat R36. I sat in the queue all the way down with the aircon and radio on, whilst those around were pushing cars with bonnets open. Got to the line against a red Cupra K1, selected LC, opened the taps and battered it. Considering the R36 is de-badged and most have no idea what it is, it explains the look of sheer misery on his face when he finally caught me at the end. Ha ha!!

5.09 0-60 13.8 1/4 - for a big heavy 1700kg barge with a full interior, I don't think that's too shabby at all. Didn't even bother turning the aircon off.

Sprinting in comfort FTMFW!
