R32/S3 fronts are a great improvement and highly rated by people.......rears are a bonus but not really needed due to the GTI not having the extra haldex weight on the rear.

Also consider the Mk7 Golf R (Also fitted to performance Seat and Audi models) front brake setup. Plug and play and a bit prettier to the R32 setup in my opinion. If you are due to replace stock pads and/or discs anyway it's a cheap upgrade. in reference to are they worth it... they have increased stopping power and run cooler under heavy driving. You've not said what vehicle you have, so if you have a 1.4 Golf probably not... If you've upgraded a GTI above stock then certainly worth considering. I'd also argue you get reduced disc/pad wear in comparison to stock.

Don't expect the £400-£600 outlay to change your life though, it's more piece of mind :)
