i was told you need stage 2+ to stop this with the milltek dp/ cat fitted , cause 2+ cancels the problem which basically your ecu can not detect the cat if its not up to operating temps , so if you do short jorneys after the 8 th one it will bring up the fault light cause thats how the ecu works , thats why i never got the dp/cat and went non res cat back

Just to throw a spanner in the works you can run Milltek downpipe and cat with the standard map without any warning lights.

i was told the ecu checks this every 8th cycle and if you dont get the cat to full temp on 8 consectutive jorneys the light will come on !          was nt sure about revo s2 or s2+

Not quite sure where that info came from but irrespective of map my light doesn't come on with a Milltek DP & Cat.

Just arrived back from Mr Hedges. Thanx again mate for looking into the problems so quick.Hope your dinner tastes better then mine does
Ive been running standard map with full milltek and no warning errors shown up.
My doing with removing the airbox tracing the air leak, and lean idle which i hazard a guess again running with no airbox would make idle more lean as usual drawing too much air rather then set ammount governed by the oem airbox.

So when someone goes Revo stage 2+ for example they disable the warning light system? So if you get a faulty lambda sensor, faulty Miltek cat you will never know you have a problem unless at the MOT?
2008 Octavia vRS K04'd , Forge twintercooler, Evoms, Autotech uprated pump, full Milltek exhaust 324bhp on JKM's rollers ;-)

No,

They fix the lambda settings, but the sensors still work. If you get a low setting through the cat being defunct you will eventually get a CEL light on.
Golf R gone.
