Have you northern/midlands boys not thought of taking the overnight P&O disco ferry from Hull to Rotterdam?

Shaves about 300 miles off my journey from Cheshire and if you phone them, they do deals on multiple bookings.

4x cars and a 4 berth room worked out £90 return each. Less fuel, less driving time, no hotel cost at the tunnel, arrive at 9am fresh (or not) as a daisy ready for a shorter trip to the Ring.

Just a thought.
Sideways yo!

It's a doddle Joe,

Jump on the ferry early evening in Hull. Chill out, eat, sleep (or drink, go to the onboard clubs, casino etc) and wake up fresh (or ruined) in Rotterdam first thing in the morning....shaves 130 miles of the UK side for me and it's 120km closer to the Ring on the other, no having to drive around the M25 or through France either!

I've done tunnel and ferry before as the costs didn't stack up - that was before I realised you could group book, it aint cheap on your own (circa £250 return).

This will be my first time on the party ferry, but the others who've been this way all agree it's better and much less exhausting. The return drive is a killer via Calais/Dover when you just want to be home.
Sideways yo!

Yes, just get a 4 berth cabin (or 2) and split them up between you all. First car with the cabin is £250 ish and it's £35 ish per person and car in addition. You just split the cost.

I don't know if you've looked too, but you've not got a great deal of TF on those dates either:

07.05.10 closed
08.05.10 17:30 until 19:30 - Touristenfahrten (Nordschleife)
09.05.10 08:00 until 19:00 - Touristenfahrten (Nordschleife)

GP circuit TF closed.

Sideways yo!

Yep! Can confirm what Mike is saying about Das Party Boot, this upcoming trip will be my 5th crossing going this way, soooo much easier and less stressful than the trek down to Dover/through France, less miles, avoids northern France, the brussels ring road etc, its a party boat full of win  :happy2:

I would be up for this too :happy2: I love this crossing. (or I used to when I was a lager lout)  :ashamed:  I was going to mention this months ago, but I thought the southern crossing was happening because we were all going together in convoy. Not sure how many people are actually still going now though.
