....All fixable though - Have to think positive. Mine sprung a wastegate leak and had to be replaced a while ago.

Fantastic pics!

Guys, out of interest - what does a trip like this cost these days? All-in (fuel, accomodation etc.). And who were you insured with given that even some of the specialists don't cover the 'Ring anymore?

I'm dead keen to get out there and try the Die Grüne Hölle in my new toy. I want to ditch the OE Contis so may as well use them  up!
Only 250.1bhp - but with that noise, who cares?

Mile-muncher ordered: MkVI 1.6 TDi BlueMotion Match DSG with leather, winter pack, luxury pack, fogs, climate control, Dynaudio pack, RCD510 with DAB & MDI, flat tyre indicator

most go on with no insurence matey!! then in the case of a crash, have the car trailered back to the UK and say you crashed there. thats what ive been lead to believe what happens.

Well back at work today, and it is a real struggle.  the trip was good, and i can safely say that i know the intimate workings of S3, RS4, and Boxster/Cayman brakes now.

I also think the lesson learnt is to have 2 completly separate braking setups (discs and pads) and not mix them.  No-one was experincing fade, but the cross contamination of differeing compounds on the disc gave the judder experienced.

i will not be messing about with brakes/Turbo's/Fuel systems anytime soon.   I managed a lap with Mr P, and a highlight was going 'Off-road' in the 6 and finding the track, and some of the other viewing points, and some great pics.

the mix of people was just right, all added something to weekend, and made it a right laugh................

got some epic quotes from Joe's brother Alex, pure gold..................

Ps - Mark and Tom hope you both get your cars sorted, and keep us posted.  Joe you just need to sort out that boost leak.............and make sure you remove the handbrake when challenging anyone (including a Kid on a bike) to a race..........

he wasnt trying to drift, it looks like just a case of too fast!

poor guy, i hope hes recovering ok.

He was going too fast, but its easily done at the ring when your high on adrenalin, petrol fumes and brake dust!
