Superchips stage 2+ for K03

Yeh I know my mistake, I didn't do enough research, I have an Ed30 as well which has a stage 1 SC chip on that the misses has taken off me, (about 300HP and 300 lbft) leaving me with her GTI K03 (we love golf GTI's) the point about getting the SC chip was not to have stage 1 (hence why only had it three weeks) but as a platform to get to the same power as the stage 1 Ed30. Got the chip as first step, then have been building up the parts from here and fleabay, now have full miltek TBE and wating for CAI (ITG) and HPFP to arrive next week, IF the SC will deliver what I want great (and i thought it would when i bought it, for £400 plus £50 ipgrade) then i am happy chappy, have always been pleased with their service and product in the past, but never gone for hardware mods before.

Think the answer is to say to SC I want to upgrade to aggressive stage 2+ specifically for HPFP, to deliver these numbers, if they say no, ask for my money back under the trial (even though i am two weeks two late) will at least test their famous customer service.

Timmyboy:
You're a lucky chap with an ED30 and a GTI in the household :)

300bhp you're never going to get without bolting a K04 turbo on - you could distract your wife and nick hers from the ED30  :driver:

I'm sure SC will provide you with the HPFP specific stage2+ file as long as you pay the extra £50 - there's no reason why they shoudn't.

You're not going to get anywhere near the numbers you're looking for though - mine is on the low side, but I've basically got the same hardware as you (plus an irrelevant S3 intercooler) and I'm at 250bhp.

Remember however that it's not all about the numbers...!

Cheers Timmy, I am a very old git who has been working very hard for a very long time.........

The way forward is to pay my £50 get the most aggressive stage 2+ map i can off them try it, see how it drives, if its good  and if not  :sad1: and most importantly keep away from any rolling road that can only make me feel sad (if bad numbers) or if good numbers want to check them on every other rolling road to make sure I am not being cheated (been there done that) Quick question, did you get your stage 2+ via pc download or any a dealer who also ran rolling road tuning as Sy did at AMD?

Thanks again

John

Timmyboy:
Sounds like a good plan.

I paid the extra £50 direct through the website if memory serves (there's an option there to select stage 2 @ £50) then just had a series of maps sent through from SC via email.

Quick load onto the Bluefin handset and you're good to go. The 20 minutes it takes to load onto the car seems to last for hours too :)

Janner_Sy:
i had the stage 2 +map  downloaded on my handset already. all AMD did was install the HPFP and put it on the RR. ignore those figures as well, as they are pretty micky mouse IMO.  Bens stage 2 Shark performance car (with no HPFP upgrade) was quicker than mine despite the supposabely 27Hp deficit.

to be fair though for 50 sheets the difference over the stage 1 makes the stage 2+ bluefin worth it, just dont expect 270Hp 300Ibft on a dyno dynamics rolling road. timmys figures seem about right for what i would have had in ine as well. he had the same experience with bens stage 2 as well.  Also dont try to keep up with the revo guys as well as i failed at that as well. that is the reason i ended up changing.

the off putting thing for me was when the guys at superchips is when i asked about the figures in comparison to revo stage 2+ they tried to tell me that any more than 300ibft and the cam shafts were at a risk of shearing,
