Where to fit parrot 3100?
« on: March 21, 2010, 08:55:08 pm »
hey guys should be picking up my gti next week sometime, was just wondering if any1 had fitted a parrot 3100, and if so where have they put the wee display for it.
also if someone can let me know what i will need to fit it, i.e wireing adaptor for stereo etc, that would be great.

It might be the case that it already has bluetooth, lol not too sure. seen a wee button with a phone symbol on the steering wheel but I am guessing they all have that and its an optional extra or i could be barking up the wrong tree completely and its a mute button for the stereo. Like i said not actaully got the car yet so not entirely sure what toys I have or dont have.

any advice would be great.

cheers in advance.

On my old old Mk5 I have the display fitted to the right of the headunit and then feed the wire between the headunit trim to the back of the headunit.

As for adapters, you need one of these

I went for the discreet look and installed my display inside the flip open cubby on the drivers side !

I hardly use the display anyway so no inconveniance for me  :happy2:

I did this!  I'll try and get a pic tomorrow.  As none of the supplied adaptors fit I made a triangular piece of wood to fix it too.

I dont understand why some of you have the screens hidden or way down out of sight, surely you're taking your eyes even further off the road to select the person to call etc.

I dont have a photo of mine, but its located to the top right of the stereo.

golfather, tell me about your white dials...
