Wheel Spacers

Looking for some guidance/advice on buying some wheel spacers.

Any help would be appreciated.

Have been running 12mm spacers on the front and 15mm hubsentric spacers on the rear for the last two years. longer bolts no issues with catching anything. Car lowered 25mm. One thing to watch out for is when you fit the rears i had to remove the wheel bearing cover in the centre as it was keeping the spacer off by about 1mm. I used some plastic to cover the wheel bearing hole.

Are you looking to widen the track for handling, or is this just for looks/stance?

If the former, you're better off fitting offset hubs.  Scirocco rear hubs (+15mm per side) and Passat fronts (+8mm or something, iirc).  Fitting both gives you a square track, F to R.  Ideally you want to avoid a wider rear track than the front for understeer reasons, but rocco rears with Pissrat fronts doesn't upset the balance.

Spacers always were and always will be a bodge.  All they do is push the wheel further outboard which f'cks the scrub radius because the knuckles remain in the same position....but stance scene points....so who cares, screw the road holding and emergency braking stability.

Wide track hubs actually lengthen the mechanical leverage for improved handling.  Spacers do not. All they do is add XXmm offset to the wheel.
