VW USB Din Dock...
« on: January 07, 2009, 12:51:46 am »
Does anyone have the part number for the usb dock, which was an option along with the iPod dock / cd changer?

Thanks

I remember this!

VW stopped supplying it because of customers fustration with their mp3 players not working with it. It apparently only works with a usb memory stick.
Without traction power is nothing!

Yeah I assumed it was design specifically to work with a USB memory stick?

But wondered whether you could connect a small LaCie drive?

That's an interesting idea but unless you also change the oem HU, you'll still only have 6 playlists to select from.

VW charge £2500 for the unit so I suspect he's going to do what most of us have done and get it from elsewhere :P
