Depo headlights - coding question
« on: January 31, 2021, 12:05:46 am »
So I’ve seen some info regarding coding of depo and other retrofit projector lamps and mentions of blowing wiper motors etc.. so..

Is the wiper motor issue only when using H.I.D? Is this not a issue when using L.E.D?

In both cases should the BCM still be coded for bi xenon lamps without shutter? If so why is this? The depo do have the shutter but it works I assume from the main beam input. How does this coding have any effect on the wiper motor?

Can the above code stop bulb errors?

Of running LED and load resistors are needed, what have people used and can they safely be used inside the headlamp of the resistors have a plastic case rather than metal?

Wiper motor issues are with hids that will need coding or get wiper motor safe hids then I don’t think you need any coding, leds are plug and play with no coding I use nighteye leds myself with no problems.

Is it worth using the xenon coding and no cold bulb monitor anyways with led as from what I read using the code for xenon then supplies the full 12v or at least it does on start up?
