that's a debate in itself.

In truth who knows, all I can say is when I spoke to Milltek they told me the blueflame would give greater top end gains on account of the 3inch bore all the way where as the milltek is only 3inch from the turbo to the cat.
In any case Im sure the overall difference would be marginal.
I'm sure the greater trading quality is whether you prefer the sound of the milltek or the blueflame as they are very different.

depends on the cat, mine is 100 cell, i think most of the blueflames are 100 but they do 200 as well. milltek do both also but unless specified its 200 cell. plus its a true 3 inch all the way through so that helps a bit

no worries i'll take you for a spin next time i see you mate.  :happy2:

just remembered when i was at blueflame yesterday i saw another MK5 GTI there and Dave told me they are currently developing a system for Germany/Europe which is TUV approved and will be quieter if thats what your after.  :happy2:

Well I had a resonated Milly before and that mint with regards to all round noise for cruising and when on WOT. Certainly don't want anything that drones etc.
Will most likely be buying 2nd hand with me only having the Golf 10 months when I get her back before changing again and there is one if the For Sale section that I maybe interested in if the price is negotiable (hence the enquiry).
Is there any performance difference do we know (he says whilst hiding from any upcoming argumentive views)   :signLOL:

The blueflame is a full 3 inch system the milltek isnt, and the milly retains a back box which other exhaust manufacturers say isnt ideal for performance, and that having no backbox and a mid resonator is better.

Dont think any of that really translates back onto the track though.

btw mate, you know carl with the 335d who was a regular at the pod last year, hes sold up now, might see him in a 335i soon though murdering those 1/4 times

I have only sat briefly in a car with a full milltek and buying the blueflame was a bit of a gamble.  Will express some of the comments already said - cruising is surprisingly quiet even on motorway, but it can be quite loud when pressing on - personally I don't feel it creates drone and I don't find the extra sound a headache or something unbearable or tiresome - but you may have a different opinion if you heard it yourself.

Good choice stiggy.
I also like the fact the tail pipes aren't branded, it makes it look more original equipment.

to be honest i love my pipes but i think i prefer mat's they look OEM but bigger mine are the Fuji tips but i think mat has hokenhiems? when i first saw his last year they looked really good and that was part of the reason after a bit of research and number crunching that i went blueflame. i didnt specify my tail pipe design thinking they would be the same but they are still good. there is a lot of things to consider when your spending best part of a grand on a part like this but im very pleased with my decision, my misses likes it too which helps as shes a fussy bugger!  :rolleye:
