Wait until the discs/pads need replacing, buy a couple of hub bolts, take the hubs off and fit new shields & brakes as a job lot  :happy2:

I would retain the shields as they keep harmful brake dust away from the dampers and bushings.

You will need a big ol' breaker bar to achieve the 180 degree final torque though.

It's an utter swine with regular 1/2" sockets and breaker bars, but swings round easy peasy like butter with the proper VW 3/4" socket and 1M breaker bar  :happy2:
