Rear brake lights
« on: April 06, 2021, 02:24:13 am »
Hi folks, just there now my neighbour had sent me a message to say my brake lights were on. Before heading up to bed a few hours ago, I had a look onto the drive and the car was fine, no lights on, nothing. So I’m at a loss as to why this might have happened? On Saturday night, Sunday morning my car battery died for some unknown reason, I’m wondering would this be connected somehow. If anyone has any advice, that would be great. Thanks  :scared: :notworthy:

Very perculiar,

If you have a diagnostic tool, check for fault codes? Might be something as simple as a fuse, that’s where I’d think to look first. Perhaps number 2 and 14 on this list too?

Looks like this user has had a similar experience? An issue with fuse 39 blowing repeatedly. https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,109654.msg1060847.html#msg1060847

I think some of the more experienced users on here might be more help than me for this one.

Thanks for the reply. I will have a look into getting the car on computer. Just really odd as the lights were not on when I arrived home yesterday evening. Only for my neighbour I dare say, id have be awoken by the sound of my alarm when the battery died out  :sleepy:
