All you'll get on here is "R-Tech" when it comes to remap discussions, but I like Revo maps personally.  Very smooth and conservative on the HP numbers for lifespan. If you buy an SPS Switch, you can adjust the map to suit your tastes.

Not a lot else to say really, drives like stock, just faster.

had REVO and SPS switch on my previous Edition 30 and couldnt fault it, was brilliant.
Running RTech on my Edition 35 but REVO was definitely a consideration for me at the time.

I’ve just been to R-Tech as I wanted the inlet and injector clean as well. Can’t fault it really but you’ll be waiting months to get in.

Question back to you is why? Have you made your mind up on Revo already? Or did you just pluck that company out and you’re really just wanting a Stage 1 remap?
Only reason I ask is there are umpteen companies out there offering Stage 1 remaps, Revo come very highly rated but are on the more expensive end.
Getting too old for this...

Sometimes it comes down to availability and after sales support.  R-Tech always have a massive waiting list and are too far to travel to for some folk.  Personally I love a good road trip and if the map is good, the return journey is going to be a lot more fun!

There are indeed a lot of remaps available.  Revo, Superchips and APR are the most well known off the shelf tunes, and R-Tech and Stealth Racing are the best for rolling road tunes.

I know from experience Revo are always helpful on email and responsive, as are Superchips. Haven't tried APR but they also have a good reputation.

I've had a custom maps and Revo.  The custom map made bigger numbers but it didn't FEEL much quicker on the road, but the Revo was smoother as it wasn't pushing the turbo as hard, and they seem to have nailed the areas under the curve for daily smoothness, which some tunes can ruin.

Thanks for the comments guys, reason for looking at Revo (AKS Bedford) is that they are going to walnut blast the valves & clean & check the injectors as it has a slight misfire on idle, being as my car is a daily & only does 14 miles to/from work, i wanted something that would be reliable & smooth. Waiting list is also quite long as booked in for April, been talking to them via social media & the coms has been really good plus wanted  someone who could do it all in one place.
As you say there are so many companies out there, trying to find one that suites each persons needs is hard.
Going to go with AKS & hope all goes well.

Not had a Revo map but did have APR stage 1 on my Ed30 when I bought it. It was making big numbers for stage 1, 320 bhp and 360 ft-lbs, but wasn't particularly nice to drive and was running a bit lean. Throttle was on/off like a switch, couldn't really modulate putting power down. I ended up going R-Tech for the full health check, injector service, inlet walnut blast and remap package. I told them I'm not after willy waving numbers and wanted a nice linear power delivery and linear throttle mapping. Came away with 302 bhp and 325 ft-lbs and couldn't be happier, the traction control mapping is also a noticeable improvement. If I wasn't going custom I'd be doing the Revo map, never really heard anything bad about them.

Did Revo stage 1 on my mk5 few weeks ago, mainly because they had £50 discount at the time and garage (Russell automotive)  that was fixing my GTI deals with Revo. So I did stage 1 and Revo induction kit as well. So far no complains. They did tell me though that torque is not at its maximum just to preserve the clutch, they also gave a price for a new performance clutch in case I'd like to do that in the future and get max torque out of stage 1. I'm quite new at this so not sure if I really need performance clutch to get max torque out of the tune but in general can't complain the way it drives. Don't feel like it's massively faster than stock but it pulls nicely.
