Latest 2021 Tyre Review 225/40 R18
« on: May 13, 2021, 02:32:45 am »
For those that are interested, and since the question comes up here often about what tyre to get, there is a pretty comprehensive tyre review in the popular 18” tyre that a lot of us ride around in. Interestingly it seems the Michelin PS4S is now available in this size.

I watched that the other night.

As with everything rubber, oil, brakes and suspension it's all completely subjective and context driven.

The results he got on that lovely smooth test track won't be what we experience on crappy UK roads.

Good to see Michelin have gotten over themselves and now offering the PS4S in 18" to the UK market  :happy2:

I would say the F1 SuperSport and PS4S are probably the ultimate tyre for a GTI.  Some people can't get on with the SuperSport's harshness and tramlining but it doesn't bother me.  The reward is epic cornering. And he seemed to concur as it was noticably better in the dry handling than the PS4S.
