Help with fault codes
« on: May 15, 2021, 08:14:23 pm »
Hi all, looking for some help with some fault codes i have.

First up;

So apparently O2 sensor stuck rich. From googling this is the one from the turbo to cat however my mechanic says it's the one downstream? Now I'm not getting any symptoms with this car running fine, no engine light and mpg is good. Car is remapped and I added in a cat and mid silencer so not sure if this has caused it (code didn't show for 4 weeks after fitting cat).

Today got the fault code for maf sensor also. Can anyone decipher the readings on this?

Next up is an air con fault.

Any opinions much appreciated.

Anyone help on this? Or even confirm which O2 sensor I should be looking at? Thanks

Thanks GVK, so there appears to be an issue with both sensors. Seems unlikely both would fail together...

Do you think this could be a result of me adding it a 200 cell cat in when the car has been remapped to suit a decat? (The codes didn't show until about 4 weeks after adding the cat though).

If anyone knows any tests I could do, live data etc. please let me know. It doesn't seem an issue at the moment as car is running well and mpg is good, but would really like to get to the bottom of it and clear the codes properly.

I'd be asking the mappers if anything they had done would effect both sensors.
