If it has paddles then you will need just the buttons and small controller to get it working IIRC.

Don't even need the controller steve has the paddles use the same box...just slap the buttons in and plug them in and code up.

I'm looking at doing the same thing to mine and was wondering about the coding aspect -- I don't have a VCDS but I'm just interested in what actually needs changing in order to make the buttons work?

Hi.Just had MF buttons fitted today but not had it coded.
The volume buttons work and the star button mutes the music
on the other side the arrows change the options on the midline
but don't change cd track! Can somebody help me on what
the buttons do and do I still have to have it coded?
Thanks

I don't have DSG and have the standard HU (RCD300?)

Do I just need a MFSW with the buttons and module, and a wiring harness with wheel control for my Alpine, an Alpine patch lead, and i'm ready to go? No need for coding?

Is £230 a good price for a MFSW?

TIA
