Where to get a 12V Live feed from?
« on: May 29, 2021, 09:19:49 pm »
Hi all
I'm planning to install a small sub and amp to my car tomorrow.  I couldn't seem to find a way through from the bulk head, so was wondering if anyone has connected an amp using the wire in the boot where the 12v cigarette socket is?
Any helpful advice will be appreciated

Really need to find a way to get direct from battery, the fused supply in the boot will only take a small load 10 amps? before blowing the fuse.

Have bumped an old thread for you https://www.mk5golfgti.co.uk/forum/index.php/topic,51812.msg1148452.html#msg1148452

Got my amp under front passenger seat and live runs direct from battery through hole either in or below glovebox - was a few years ago but did it.
