Hi All,
New to this site and after some information, as pulling my hair out now.
Don’t know if this has been posted before but if it has could you please direct me to the post.
So, the problem is on my Golf GTI 2Lt petrol 2013 convertible RHD. The cabin heater is a dual climatic control; the problem is when set high on the heat the vents are not getting up to full temp. I have looked in the driver’s foot well and can see an actuator that moves when the driver’s side heating is requested and in the passenger’s side I can see a yellow actuator that moved when the passenger side is selected.
The two pipes going into the HVAC, one is really hot can’t be touched and the other is lukewarm, this is the same if you follow the heater pipes back out where the fire wall is.
I have seen a few post that some say it’s the actuator that does the door flaps on the HVAC in the car (but not what one) and others I have seen say there is a coolant control valve but have looked in the engine bay and can’t see it, (unless it is behind the leaf screen by the wipers) other post say that there isn’t a coolant control valve and is all done on the HVAC flaps, with others saying there is a coolant control valve.
Please could someone please help me out with this and point me in the right direction, where it could be and the located as to what one is causing the problem and some help on how to do it, I have done a recalibration on the HVAC but it hasn’t made a difference.
Your help and advice on this would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards
Dave
