So, go on a trip away and cue sudden rubbing noises, luckily fairly close to where we're staying.
Car jacked up and nsf wheel off and notice brake disc retaining bolt has sheered.
So .... Why was it rubbing as disc is still held on by wheel bolts?
I've put the wheel back on with maybe more grunt with the pry bar and will test in the morning.
Maybe I should say that the fronts have been upgraded to the 7r brakes 3 months ago so have the tts/ttrs (can't remember which it is now) 340mm discs.
Stupid question now, if road test proves to be quiet would it be ok for a 5 hr drive like that or should I get the bolt drilled out and replaced, take it that's possible?
Cheers for any advice.
