That gearknob is going to be fun in summer.
I had a stainless one in my E36 a few years ago. Summer wasn't too much of an issue, winter was worse.

I can't ever remember it being too bad though.

Thanks.

Got a load more bits turn up:
- Highline Cluster
- Retrimmed MFSW
- Highline Steering module
- Steering wheel control adaptor
- Airbag loom
- Cruise control stalk
- BBS centre caps
- Extended wheel bolts
- Reverse Camera

Hadn't planned on doing the wheel and stuff yet but bought one thing and it led to about 4 others.

Also had a play around with wet sanding the roof and bonnet

Managed to remove all the marks on the bonnet in my test patch so just need to do the whole thing and the same for the roof (you can see the defects if you zoom on the photos). Which will involve buying more stuff

Bit of an update.

had it serviced the other day. Oil and filter change, Brake fluid and Thermostat (wasn't getting up to temperature whilst driving)

Then had a day off work so got a few bits done to it.

Started off removing the steering wheel:

Fitted a new cruise control stalk and Steering control module.

Then stuck it all back together - New retrimmed MFSW

Also fitted the highline cluster that Eddie_NL coded for me:

Had a few other bits to sort.
Pulled out the headunit and fitted the new steering wheel adaptor along with wiring into the light switch for auto-dimming and running an input lead for the reverse camera too.

Whilst I had the headunit out I also fitted a USB socket to tidy up the trailing leads:

Also replaced the climate control panel as it wasn't turning on the fan fully and would jump the speeds around as you turned it up/down.

All back together:

Next up will be to wet sand and polish the roof and bonnet along with a wheel refurb and new front wing in spring (March/April)

My fan speeds up when I turn the temp up, I just thought it was a feature! Did this cure it then? Do you have to code the new controls in? Mine doesn’t have the Dual button either which pisses me off. I have to manually make sure both sides are set to same temp (deffo don’t have OCD...).
Getting too old for this...

Yeah that's meant to happen if you have "auto" on.
If I turn my fans up, then the fan speed would either increase or decrease or do nothing (what ever it felt like at the time). This cured that though and has made the max fan speed much faster (before you could barely feel it)

I replaced like for like, so didn't need to do any coding.

Small update

Had the wheels refurbed and decided that it's going up for sale.

Reason?
I bought it in December, since then I've done 350miles in it and not even used one tank of fuel.

So it's already up on Facebook and will be going on eBay/Pistonheads etc in a few days time.
