MK5 GTI Nissens Intercooler Opinions?

I'm looking at buying a Nissens 96420 Alloy End S3 intercooler for my MK5 GTI just wondering if anyone has any experience with these intercoolers are they any good i can get one new for around £180 I will be doing K04 conversion soon so want to start gathering parts I already have K04 Turbo, S3 Injectors, DV relocation pipes, R8 Coils

One of the track day guys upgraded to one of these @shannon-ob

No experience with that intercooler - but the brand is good.
Used their stuff in the past + recently renewed my condenser and radiator with Nissens ones.
Would have also gone for the same S3 intercooler you are asking about - but for the same price got a Chinese Wagner Clone...that took months to get to the UK.

Thanks for the reply.. I have ordered one brand new should be here on Tuesday so I'll see how I get on seems a bargain especially the price I got it at from local motor factors

Just have to decide now what HPFP I'm gonna go for im thinking bout the VIS Internals

Hi Darren,

How is the Nissens S3 intercooler?
I also want to get one of this comparing to the price of original. Does it have the same core construction as the original one? I cannot find any informations about the inner core construction for Nissens. And only concern it does not do the same/better performance.
